Interactive walkthrough / Chilled water

Same trigger.
Three different boundaries.

Remote DP Low

The trigger is simple: remote chilled water differential pressure (DP) has been below setpoint for thirty minutes while the secondary pumps have been running above 90% for the same window. The system is working hard, but says it's not delivering.

This walkthrough demonstrates how that single event can resolve to three very different root causes — a sensor fault, a hidden short-circuit, or a physical restriction on a single branch.

A Building Management System (BMS) would log a low-DP alarm. A Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD) platform might list everything that could explain it: pump curves, valve actuators, sensor calibration, branch balancing.

ABIE traces the chilled water chain — Generation → Distribution → Branches → Loads — and resolves to one specific cause, with one specific action.

Choose an explanation, then read the commentary beside the diagram as you advance through the investigation.

The Point.

A dashboard would show three identical low-DP alerts. ABIE asks the next question — across the chiller plant, the distribution loop, the bypass, the branches, and the CRAC coils — and arrives at three different answers. The action that fixes the fault depends entirely on which answer is true.
